Netherlands: Cabinet confirms ViDA-aligned domestic B2B e-invoicing from 1 July 2030
The Dutch Cabinet confirmed that domestic B2B e-invoicing will become mandatory from 1 July 2030, synchronised with the ViDA Digital Reporting Requirements rather than running ahead of them. That makes the Netherlands a deliberate late mover despite being OpenPeppol's birthplace and running one of Europe's most mature voluntary Peppol implementations. For multinationals the planning consequence is that Dutch entities do not need a domestic project on the Belgian or Polish timetable, but they will need intra-EU digital reporting on the same 2030 date as everyone else — and the Dutch Peppol estate already in place is the obvious foundation for it.
